Jackson Youth Brings Home Gold

A Jackson Hole youth has been awarded a gold medal in the International Special Olympic Games being held in Korea.  Luis “Alex” Moreno placed first in the Alpine Advanced Super G Division M01 Saturday with a time of 38.17 seconds, beating out competitors from Korea and Norway.  He went on to first again on Sunday to win gold with a time of 28.27 seconds, and he took fourth overall for the games.  Moreno represented Wyoming on Team USA along with Mona Sobieski of Jackson, Jordan Hofstad of Casper and Kenneth Roy from Gillette.
