Speech Team Still Number One

The Jackson Hole High School Speech and Debate Team remained undefeated as they won their seventh meet of the season on February first and second at the Mustang Classic, held at Natrona County High School in Casper.  This was Jackson’s narrowest victory of the season, besting3A second place school Star Valley by only three sweepstakes points — 29 to 26.  Cody placed third among the twelve 3A schools competing at the 33-school meet.  Coach Londe Gagnon says the tournament indicates that the team will be facing serious competition at the upcoming culminating meets.  This week, Jackson hosts its own invitational meet on Friday and Saturday drawing speech teams from throughout the state.
