Figure Skaters Bring Home Gold

Jackson Hole’s youth figure skaters had a successful weekend at the Sun Valley Winter Games in Sun Valley, Idaho this past weekend, bringing home a variety of medals. Altogether, seven figure skaters competed against clubs representing three states acrossthe Mountain West. Ages of the skaters ranged from 6 years to 13 years. Jackson’s skaters came back with 6 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals for their efforts. Skaters went on to conclude the weekend with a “testing” session in which they performed maneuvers for a panel of judges to advance their personal level standings with Unites States Figure Skating. The Academy’s next event is their upcoming Spring Show, “Jackson On Ice; A Gala of Art and Ice” March 15th and 16th at the Snow King Sports and events Center.
