Hitching Bill Picked Up By House
The Wyoming House gave final approval Friday to a bill that legalizes hitchhiking in Wyoming. The bill, sponsored by Teton County Senator Leland Christensen prohibits soliciting employment, business or contributions along streets and highways, but strikes the provision to the state’s existing law that prohibited the solicitation of rides. It also allows solicitation of assistance for disabled vehicles. The bill now goes to Governor Mead for his signature before taking effect July first.
