Broncs Are Nordic Ski State Champs
The Wyoming High School Nordic State Ski Championships held at the Beaver Creek Nordic Ski Trails and hosted by the Lander Valley High School Nordic Ski Team proved most profitable for the Jackson Hole Nordic team. The Jackson Hole High School Broncs Women’s and Men’s teams took both first places overall. Lander Women took second with Laramie Men taking second as well. Lander Men were fourth overall. The Broncs boys overcame an eight-point lead by Laramie going into the second day and ultimately brought home their 13th state championship – their fourth in as many years. They bested second-place Laramie by an 18 point margin. The girls meanwhile took a comfortable lead Friday and never looked back. They went on to win the title easily with 149 points while Lander took second with 85 points.
