Travelers on Wyoming Highway 22 near the Snake River Bridge west of Jackson should expect one-lane traffic through the day Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 9:00 am as a geology team drills test holes and gathers data around the bridge. The temporary lane closure will take place from Green Lane to Iron Rock. Traffic speeds will be reduced, and travel will be reduced to one lane, so WYDOT is advising drivers plan accordingly while traveling. The area will be controlled by flaggers with one-lane of alternating traffic. The work area will also affect Wyoming 390 by the R park entrance. WYDOT officials say additional work may also be conducted in the Mill Cabin area of the pass, but that work should not impact traffic in that location. While these projects are under way, WYDOT and contract crews ask the public for their patience until the work is completed.
