A mild earthquake was experienced near Smoot, Wyoming early Friday morning causing no appreciable damage in the area. According to the US Geological Survey, the tremor was centered about 10 miles West-southwest of Smoot and measured four on the Richter scale. Fewer than a dozen people reported feeling it and most reported the shaking as “weak.”
