Renew Bear Bait Permits Now

Bear Bait

Black bear hunters who want to use bait for the spring bear hunting season have until March 20th to register their existing bear-bait sites. Spokesman Mark Gocke of the Wyoming Game and Fish Office in Jackson says those who had bait sites registered in 2012 canregister the same sites between March first and March 20th. The registration period is closed from March 21st-31st. Gocke says hunters can renew existing bait sites by telephone, mail, fax, in person, or through a representative. Bait sites are registered for the year and cannot be changed until the following year. Registration of unclaimed bait sites, Gocke says begins at 8:00 am Monday April 1st.
