Renew Bear Bait Permits Now

Bear Bait

Black bear hunters who want to use bait for the spring bear hunting season have until March 20th to register their existing bear-bait sites. Spokesman Mark Gocke of the Wyoming Game and Fish Office in Jackson says those who had bait sites registered in 2012 canregister the same sites between March first and March 20th. The registration period is closed from March 21st-31st. Gocke says hunters can renew existing bait sites by telephone, mail, fax, in person, or through a representative. Bait sites are registered for the year and cannot be changed until the following year. Registration of unclaimed bait sites, Gocke says begins at 8:00 am Monday April 1st.

The Wyoming Cowboys open up their football season at home against Montana tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon in Laramie.  It’s the first meeting between the two schools since 1997, and the Grizzlies enter the game as the fifth-ranked team in the FCS. At the risk of sounding like I’ve been watching too much Top Gear, I need to go off on a bit of a rant right now. The good folks at Nissan let me drive a Titan for two full months, which was really nice of them. And it’s done a pretty good job of filling […]
