Conservtion Funds Allocated To Teton County
Governor Matt Mead last week signed a bill that will provide some $1.4 million dollars to Teton County for conservation projects. Specifically, the money is to be used to help preserve Munger Mountain and parts of East Gros Ventre Butte. The act, sponsored by a group of state representatives including Teton County’s Keith Gingery provides $600-thousand to the Jackson Hole Land Trust to support conservation of 300 acres on Munger Mountain while another $600-thousand is to go to place 413 acres on East Gros Ventre Butte under similar protection. Teton Science School is to get the remainder of the money for restoration work they are conducting at Cottonwood Ranch.
