Statistics for the month of February at Jackson Hole Airport have been published now and Airport Manager Ray Bishop calls them “the strongest numbers I’ve ever seen.” Those who arrived on flights to Jackson Hole numbered 25,350 for a 14% increase from the same month last year, while those catching flights here numbered 25,450 for an 18% increase.   Year-to-date, Bishop says commercial air travel at the airport is up 18% with the number of flights in and out of Jackson Hole up by 20% over the same period last year.  Bishop points out that if you are in a smaller airport that typically sees about 500 people arriving at the airport each month, an 18% increase doesn’t mean nearly as much as when over 25-thousand arrive during a month.
