Unemployment Drops Here
State analysts were not surprised by the drop in unemployment from 7.3% to 6.5% in Teton County last January. Senior State Economist David Bullard explains that the drop is a result of winter tourist season in the county. Still, Teton County was far from posting the lowest jobless rate during the first month of the year. That honor went to Converse County at 4.3% followed by Sublette County at 4.4%. Lincoln County had the most dismal rate at 8.1%. Statewide, the jobless rate averaged 5.9% for the month.
