Avalanche Conditions Rise
The Bridger Teton Avalanche Center is cautioning that soft sensitive wind slabs as deep as two feet have accumulated now in the back country contributing to an elevated avalanche condition today. Yesterday, the center reports that many small avalanches were reported in and near the Tetons – some of them close calls for skiers and snowboarders. Forecasters say avalanche conditions today are moderate up to 9,000 feet and considerable at elevations above that.
