YNP Plow

Yellowstone has launched a new where the public can follow the progress of the park’s snowplows as they chew their ways through the snow packed roads.  Park officials point out that the plows are currently clearing nearly 200 miles of primary roads, almost 125 miles of secondary roads, and about 125 acres of parking lots in order to open the park for the spring. The new website was put up by the park to allow the public a way to follow the progress of opening the interior roads of the park.  Additionally, the park intends to post photos when available of the plowing progress on its “Flickr” site.  Those wishing to track the plows’ progress can find the feature at http://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/plowing.htm
