Teton Trailer Restrictions Now Flagged

April 5, 2013 State of Wyoming, Teton County No Comments
Teton Pass

Tractor-trailers on Teton Pass at times trailer traffic is prohibited has traditionally been all too common an occurrence.  However, in efforts to stem the number of such incidents, route mapping sites on the internet popular with commercial truckers have begun flagging the pass as permitting no trailer traffic during the seasons trailers are curtailed.  The pass is also flagged on the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s website under the “closures and advisories” link.  Meanwhile, a bill that would have increased fines for those who violate the pass closures and weight restrictions died in the House after being approved in the Senate during the recently concluded legislative session. In the meantime, trailer traffic can still be prohibited at any time this time of year due to changeable road conditions. (like this morning)
