Travel Commission Says “Yellowstone Or Bust”

YNP Plow Contest

The Wyoming Office of Tourism has launched a Yellowstone or Bust Sweepstakes where people from around the country can log onto the website  and guess the date and time the plows will meet.  Deputy Travel and Tourism Director Alan Dubberley says it is a way to draw more attention to the fact that Yellowstone and Grand Teton will be open for visitors on schedule.  Dubberly says the winner will receive an ipad which ties into the Travel Commissions online road trip campaign they will be launching in early May.  Dubberly says, “It’s just kind of a fun say to engage the public and make sure we get the word out there that Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are going to open on time and be ready for visitors and be as magnificent as they ever have been.” Dubberly says there are links at the contest site where people can get information about the area to plan their trips or to track the progress of the plows.  The contest ends on April 30th and the winner will be randomly drawn from the entries on May third.

The Wyoming Cowboy football team will have one more practice before Saturday’s spring game.  The major focus this spring, at least for the offensive line, is to be more physical and deliver the blows.  As offensive line coach Scott Fuchs tells the unit, “be the hammer, not the nail”.  That’s a difference in philosophy between […]
  • Find some new places to fish - April 16, 2014
Instead of fishing the same old places this spring, do something different. Find a new honey hole. You don’t have to go to the same place every time you go fishing. When you find a good spot to fish, it’s nice to know you can go back there and catch fish. But if your honey […]
