Land Trust Video

The Jackson Hole Land Trust released a new short film online Monday in celebration of Earth Day. The production was filmed around the iconic protected properties of the valley. Forever Our Valley: The Jackson Hole Land Trust is a 3 minute 40 second introduction to the work of the Jackson Hole Land Trust to protect open space and the critical wildlife habitat, magnificent scenic vistas, and historic ranching heritage of Jackson Hole and the Greater Yellowstone Area. Sweeping cinematography by local filmmaker David Stubbs presents a picture of what is at stake in the last intact ecosystem in the lower 48 states, narrated by Laurie Andrews, executive director, and accompanied by the music of Bela Fleck and Johnny & June Carter Cash.  The film can be viewed on the Jackson Hole Land Trust video channel at http://vimeo.com/jhlandtrust/foreverourvalley

The I-25 and I-80 corridors and adjacent roads throughout central, eastern and southern Wyoming will see very strong and gusty winds today.  Sustained winds of 25 to 40 mph likely for many areas with gusts to 60 mph or higher in the wind prone locations. Light to moderate snow shower activity will also be increasing […]
  • Tame that recoil - November 25, 2014
You don’t have to put up with nasty recoil when you’re hunting. Even if you’re hunting our state’s bigger animals, like elk, moose, or even bison, today’s technology can take a lot of the sting out of your hunting rifle. A friend told me he developed a bad flinch while sighting in his .300 Win […]
