Recreational visits to Yellowstone National Park last month took a 15 1/3 percent tumble from April one year ago, according to figures posted by the National Park Service Visitor Use Statistics office.  Members of the Yellowstone staff say wintery weather through April may have affected recreational activities through the north entrance. However, park officials are quick to point out that during months when visitation is seasonally low, a change in visitation numbers by relatively few people often results in misleadingly high percentages of change. The larger sampling of visits since the beginning of the year in Yellowstone shows a decrease of only 3%.
