Park Road Construction Brings Delays

GRTE Summer

It has been said, there are two seasons in Wyoming: winter and construction.  Grand Teton National Park has announced that road repair and rehabilitation projects are beginning this week for the 2013 travel season.  Work to rebuild the road between Jackson Lake Lodge and Flagg Ranch will bring with it up to 30-minute delays between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm seven days a week through September.  A re-graveling project on Grassy Lake Road will bring with it 15-minute delays between June and October. An asphalt overlay project on Gros Ventre Road from Kelly Warm Springs to the east park boundary will bring 15-minute delays during July to that area, and chip-seal work is slated this summer on the Teton park Road, Kelly Road, the Antelope Flats Road, Sagebrush Drive, Dornans’ Road and the road to the Chapel of Transfiguration.  Information about the construction can be found in the park’s newspaper and at the visitor centers.
