Trash Fees Increasing

garbage-can

Teton County Commissioners last week approved a 10% increase in the tip fee for landfill-bound solid waste at the Trash Transfer Station.  Effective July first, the tip fee for landfill-bound municipal solid waste will increase from $100 per ton to $110 per ton.  However, at the same time the tip fee for scrap metal will decrease from $50 per ton to $35 per ton and the tip fee for domestic dead animals will decrease, from $70 per ton to $50 per ton.  Increases will be seen for tires without rims and manure, clean dirt and sod.  Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling Division Chief Heather Overholser says the tip fee increases will allow Teton County to cover all of its direct and indirect costs associated with each material accepted at the Trash Transfer Station and create a balanced budget for the Solid Waste and Recycling division.

But you’d be wrong. The last total lunar eclipse visible in Wyoming was way back in 2009, if I’m not mistaken. So I’ve been looking […]

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
