The Jackson Police Department has recently found itself dealing with a number of vandalism cased involving graffiti. Police Lieutenant Cole Nethercott says these incidents have resulted in thousands of dollars in damage to both public and private property, and has negatively impacted the atmosphere that Jackson strives to maintain. Nethercott says studies show that areas where graffiti is present encourage other vandalism, and as more vandalism shows up, it encourages more crimes of a variety of natures. In an effort to prevent further incidents, Jackson Hole Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the recent vandalism.
