Tomorrow there will be some additional NO PARKING areas on Kelly Avenue. This will allow the Public Works crew additional time to remove snow from the streets.
The closure will be for Friday (2/22/19) from 7:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Kelly Avenue between Vine Street and Milward Street. This street will be signed with “No Parking” signs for tomorrow while crews work to remove snow.

With the recent accumulation of snow, plow crews have been working to widen streets and to reduce snow piles so line of sight is improved.
Today, Public Work crews worked today on widening Gill Avenue, Willow Street and Snow King Avenue. Tomorrow the Public Works team will be focusing on East Broadway, Redmond and Kelly.
We would like to thank everyone for your patience as our crews work hard to remove this snow. The Jackson Public Works snow plow team will continue to work efficiently to clear roadways of snow for safe passage.
If you meet a snow plow on the roads, please use caution and follow these simple tips:
1. Maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and the plow.
2. Refrain from passing any snow plow until the plow vehicle stops or turns. If you do decide to pass, make sure there is a clear path to do so.
3. Avoid driving into a snow spray cloud that is created by the plow as this may cause a total “white out” of zero visibility to the driver.
