Excellent weekend weather helped draw out a large number of area residents to participate in the 45th annual clean-up weekend. Coordinator Bob Norton says it is difficult to know just how many participants there were but he estimates there were 500 or more volunteers on hand for the effort. Norton says a lot of areas were covered; and a few others that didn’t get cleaned up, but they can be addressed in the future. Norton says the volunteers represented a variety of local services groups, but quite a few individuals turned out for the project as well. He says it is a fun community event involving people from all walks of life working together to clean up the community. The excellent weather also prompted an excellent turn-out for the community’s 10th annual EcoFair held at the Snow King ball field beginning at noon with a variety vendors, displays and demonstrations for participants.
