Campgrounds All Open on the Caribou

CTNF

Caribou-Targhee National Forest has announced that all campgrounds in the Teton Basin and Palisades Ranger Districts are open in time for Memorial Day, as are most other campgrounds around the forest.    However, they ask that recreationists be conscious of road conditions that may be too wet and muddy to travel on without causing damage. This year the forest road and trail maintenance funds are reduced compared to previous years and this year they will not grade/maintain the roads as often and some not at all. The condition they are in during springtime says spokesman Lynn Ballard, may very well be the condition they remain in all summer.
