The price of a gallon of gasoline nationally is falling while the average price in Wyoming is on the rise. According to AAA Auto Club’s Fuel Gauge Report, the national average has dropped from $3.659 last week to $3.619 this week. Wyoming meanwhile has climbed to an average of $3.593 placing the state among the median priced states nationally, rather than the lowest. In Jackson, gasoline prices spiked by 12¢ on Wednesday and the average of prices reported by Motor Trend in Jackson is now $3.689 and $3.811 in Teton Valley. AAA explains that individual gasoline markets are being driven by regional supply and production issues with the price of crude remaining relatively flat.
