Broker Selected For Forest Parcel

BTNF Office

Bridger Teton National Forest has announced the selection of a broker for the liquidation of a 10 acre parcel at the North Cache administrative site in Jackson.  Spokesperson Mary Cernicek says after a bidding process, a local broker was named to the task. Cernicek says Sotherby’s International Realty has been awarded the contract for the Brokerage Services and Jay Kornoff of Jackson will specifically handle the marketing. Cernicek says Kornoff will advertise the parcel in search of buyers who can make at least the minimum bid.  Once the property is sold, Cernicek says the proceeds will be used to renovate the remaining Jackson administrative site. She says the Forest plans to remodel of the Forest Supervisor’s Office which will house not only the Forest Supervisor but the Forest District as well.  She says plans are also in place to refurbish the warehouse and the convert the Jackson District Office into housing for temporary employees.  Additional facilities will be constructed at the Cottonwood Administrative site at the southern end of Fall Creek Road.  Cernicek says the Forest hopes to wrap up the sale sometime in the fall.
