Yellowstone National Park has been selected to receive a 2013 “Ticket to Ride” grant through the National Park Foundation from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, for Yellowstone’s Connecting Native American Youth to Yellowstone program.  The National Park Foundation “Ticket to Ride” program helps studentsexplore the outdoors by providing transportation, in-park educational programming, and meals that make national park field trips possible for schools across the country. The program is now in its second year and with continued support from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund and Disney Friends for Change, “Ticket to Ride” will help bring 300 students and 65 teachers/chaperones from tribal schools to participate in Expedition: Yellowstone!, a curriculum-based education program for grades four through eight; or in a ranger-led Yellowstone Field Trip program.

  • Today’s a big day for hunters in Wyoming - October 1, 2014
If you’re really serious about hunting, you’re probably not listening to this. Depending on where you are in the state, the sun’s either up already or sunrise isn’t far away. If you’re a die-hard hunter, you’re probably already hunkered down in a field waiting for the geese to come in, out in the timber trying […]
  • Not all bad news in judge’s decision to relist wolves - September 30, 2014

That ruling put an end to hunting wolves anywhere in the state, whether they’re in the trophy game area in the northwestern corner […]
