Wyoming is sending one of its National Guard teams with a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to Colorado. Governor Matt Mead offered support to Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper Friday. Mead says he spoke with Governor Hickenlooper to and let him know that Wyoming’s thoughts and prayers are with the people of Colorado and if there is any way Wyoming could help we are ready to help. The Wyoming National Guard is deploying a team of four to operate and support the Black Hawk helicopter. Major General Luke Reiner, Wyoming’s adjutant general says, “Helping our neighbors to the south is the right thing to do. I know our Wyoming Army National Guard UH-60 personnel will excel at their firefighting mission and bring much needed assistance to the Colorado forces already working hard to save lives and contain the fires.”

And even offer suggestions to the Game and Fish Commission when we think there are better ways to ensure that […]
