Lightning is being blamed for a small wildfire that flared up near Atlantic City in Fremont County Friday. Firefighters were able to hold the blaze to 14 acres of sagebrush and some timber. That fire was contained over the weekend. Meanwhile, members of the Wyoming Air National Guard joined in the firefight near Colorado Springs on the massive Black Forest Fire. That fire is now 65% contained after burning through 14,198 acres and destroying 485 homes and 21 outbuildings. Closer to home, fire danger in northwestern Wyoming is still considered low, but officials say fuels are drying quickly now.
