Microburst Downs Trees, Hurts Camper in GTNP

wind

Crews in Grand Teton National Park are cleaning up after a microburst ripped through the Colter Bay area Sunday, felling trees, damaging cars and other property and seriously injuring one camper who was hit by a falling tree.  Park Spokesperson Jackie Skaggs says over 100 trees were toppled, blocking roads in the area and stranding park visitors.  She says one woman was taken to St. John’s Medical Center for treatment, but her condition is not immediately known.  Meanwhile, damage is still being assessed and crews are working to remove trees blocking the roads or precariously leaning and posing a hazard to those who may pass beneath them.

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
