Enzi Joins Calls For NPS Coins

Enzi

U.S. Senators Mike Enzi of Wyoming and Mark R. Warner of Virginia have introduced bipartisan legislation to authorize the minting of coins to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the National Park Service. The bill would authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to produce a five dollar gold coin, a silver dollar, and a clad half dollar at no additional cost to taxpayers. The proceeds from the sale of the coins after minting costs would be contributed to the National Park Foundation for park preservation and to provide programs and services to park visitors.
