Teton County’s Sheriff On Lottery Board

Teton County Sheriff Jim Whalen has been appointed by Wyoming Governor Matt Mead as a member of the nine-member State Lottery Board.  Mead says the board will begin working immediately to establish the Corporation, develop plans, and implement a successful and entertaining lottery for Wyoming.  Other members include Dave Bonner of the Powell Tribune, Brian Scott Gamroth from K2 Radio in Casper, Jim Griffin – formerly from the state Legislative Services Office, Mark Macy who is a Cheyenne attorney, Gerry Marburger who is a CPA from Riverton, Ross Newman who is a Torrington rancher, Erin Taylor who is the Executive Director of the Wyoming Taxpayers’ Association, and Barry Sims of Cheyenne who is the recently retired chairman and CEO of Taco John’s International.
