Child Molester Touches Teton Valley
A 41-year-old Michigan man has pleaded guilty in a federal court to manipulating mothers into molesting their own children while he watched online. Teton County, Idaho sheriff’s officials say the case originated with the involvement of a Teton County, Idaho woman in 2009 whose own mother contacted sheriff’s officers about the activity. Sheriff’s officers then contacted federal agents who initiated a broader investigation. Since that time, the woman pleaded guilty to lewd conduct with a child and two other women in other states have also been arrested on similar charges. Another four mothers have been linked to the case but have not yet been charged. Officials say the man who contacted the women, Steven Demink of Redford Township, Michigan, is currently being held in jail there and faces 15 years to life when he is sentenced later this year.
