The Board of County Commissioners has adopted a new Strategic Plan to articulate the Board’s vision, values, priorities and goals for Teton County Government; particularly as they pertain to the Comprehensive Plan and the community feedback they received during that process.  The commissioners say that feedback helped the board reaffirm the county’s mission statement, to write a vision statement and to establish a set of values.  From there the Board created four Statements of Strategic Intent:  Organizational Excellence, Environmental Stewardship, Vibrant Community, and Economic Sustainability.  County Administrator Steve Foster says the strategic plan will serve as a road map to communicate to the community and county employees what the Board’s vision is for the county’s organization as it sets out to serve its residents.

  • Don’t lose your vision in the woods - October 21, 2014
I don’t have good eyes. Had I been born a hundred years ago, there would have been no help for me. Glasses can’t help me, so I’d have blind. I have to wear a special kind of contact lens, which wasn’t available in the days of Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone. But through the miracle […]
  • Hunters must be conservationists first - October 20, 2014
As hunters, it’s our responsibility to take care of the critters we hunt, as well as those we don’t. We have to obey the game laws. Police ourselves to be sure others respect the wildlife. And even offer suggestions to the Game and Fish Commission when we think there are better ways to ensure that […]
