Teton County has named a successor to Search and Rescue Coordinator Doug Meyer who was dismissed from that post in May. Sheriff Jim Whalen appointed Jessica King who has been a volunteer with Teton County Search and Rescue for the past seven years, following an extensive selection process from a pool of candidates made up sole of other TCSAR volunteers. King’s duties will include maintaining training records and reports of search and rescue missions, and will be responsible for maintaining search and rescue equipment. She will also provide the link between the volunteer organization and other public safety agencies and organizations. King assumes her new duties Monday.
