Unemployment in Teton County took a precipitous drop during June as to be expected as the summer tourist season got into full swing. According to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, the jobless rate dropped from 6.4% in May to3.9% in June which was also more than one percent lower than June last year. That placed Teton County among the top three counties in the state for finding a job. The lowest unemployment was in Sublette County with 3.3% idled, followed by Converse County at 3.6%. Despite declines in counties like Teton, the state’s unemployment rate remained unchanged from May to June, but that’s still nearly one percent below the 2012 rate and well below the national rate of 7.6%.
