Local National Park Lodges Spotlighted

Jenny-Lake-Lodge

CNN Travel this week spotlighted 18 outstanding lodges tucked inside the national parks as listed in Travel and Leisure Magazine.  Two of them are very familiar to locals living in this part of Wyoming.  The obvious inclusion was Old Faithful Inn which the magazine touts as having hosted six presidents and all Three Stooges.  The summary states that “the absence of TV, radio and internet access in the suites encourages folks to get outside…” The other local lodge included in the report is Jenny Lake Lodge which editors say is highlighted by “authentic log walls, handmade quilts and down comforters…” They add that it is particularly attractive to guests for “the joy of having a front porch in one of the nation’s most photographed mountain ranges.”
