A grizzly bear caused problems for a time at one of Grand Teton National Park’s campgrounds through the weekend. According to park officials, the bear was frequenting Lizard Creek Campground on the north end of the park and was repeatedly hazed from the facility. Park officials say it did not receive food rewards and didn’t interact directly with campers. Camping at Lizard Creek was restricted to hard-sided camping only until the bear finally left the area of its own accord Monday. At the same time, a black bear has forced the closure of two back country sites at Leigh Lake for the week. It is hoped that bear will simply move on as well.
