During the course of the construction on Broadway this fall, Jackson Police Chief Todd Smith says officers will not be providing a traffic control presence on Snow King Avenue in the evenings as they did during the earlier phase of construction.  Smith says as phase 2 of the project now allows for two lanes of travel both east and west bound, through or around the construction corridor, the Town of Jackson will cease traffic control operations on Snow King Avenue and allow the regular traffic control devices – including stop signs — to regulate traffic flows east and west bound on Snow King Avenue.  Smith encourages the public to plan their evening commutes to allow for extra time to reach their destinations should traffic become congested despite the one-way routing in opposing directions on Pearl and Broadway to allow four-lane traffic flow in and out of town. The project is slated to continue for about two months.
