August proved to be a solid month for travel through the Jackson Hole Airport according to the monthly report to the airport board. Those arriving on one of the six carriers serving the valley numbered 11% more than August of 2012 while those catching flights out of the valley numbered 2% more. Those statistics more than made up for the slight declines seen in ridership in 2012. Year-to-date, ridership is up about seven percent with over 225,000 passengers arriving by air. Service to the valley has increased as well with 2,461 flights compared with 2,385 during the last year. Through August, Jackson Hole was served by American, Delta, Skywest, United, Frontier and Republic Airlines.
