Star Valley Sees Major Drug Bust

A major drug bust was executed Tuesday morning in and around Afton, Wyoming.  According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office, law enforcement officers from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Afton Police Department, Bear River Drug Task Force and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation arrested five people and charged them with a total of sixty counts of violations of the Wyoming Controlled Substances Act stemming from a multi-month methamphetamine investigation.  The investigators also conducted searches of the suspects’ properties.  Among those arrested were Brian Beck of Alpine, Anthony Nield of Auburn, Dane Jacobson of Afton Armand Mullendore of Afton and Van Astle of Osmond.  Sheriff’s officials say the investigation continues into the possession, manufacture and distribution of controlled substances in the area and more actions are possible.  Investigators are seeking any additional information residents of the area can provide.
