IPSSSDR Reorganized

IPSSSDR

International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race has announced changes to its organizational structure. Executive Director Frank Teasley, Creator, founder and mastermind of the IPSSSDR, has moved from Race Director to Executive Director to more effectively manage the increasingly popular event. Meanwhile,  Six-time IPSSSDR Competitor, Dan Carter has assumed the reins of Race Director and will handle all operational aspects of the event. Teasley says Dan’s ten year experience as a professional dog musher and his long resume of operational management make him the ideal race director. Dr. Terry Adkins who has competed in 22 Iditarods and 7 IPSSSDR’s will assume the role as Race Marshall. Adkins is a former US Air Force veterinarian who competed in the Inaugural Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in 1973 and the Inaugural IPSSSDR in 1996. Roger Carpenter who has a combined background in advertising, PR and raising Siberian Huskies, joins the executive team this year as Media Director. Carpenter will co-ordinate social media communication. Now in its 19th year, the 2014 IPSSSDR is slated for January 31 – February 8, 2014.

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
  • Cowboy O-Line Being Told To Be the Hammer, Not the Nail [AUDIO] - April 16, 2014
The Wyoming Cowboy football team will have one more practice before Saturday’s spring game.  The major focus this spring, at least for the offensive line, is to be more physical and deliver the blows.  As offensive line coach Scott Fuchs tells the unit, “be the hammer, not the nail”.  That’s a difference in philosophy between […]
