The South Jackson Game and Fish District has a new warden responsible for wildlife law enforcement, wildlife monitoring and other management duties.  Kyle Lash, formerly of Kaycee replaces former South Jackson Warden Jerry Longobardi who has retired after 29 years of service.  Lash actually began his Game and Fish career in Jackson as a habitat biologist for a brief time in 2009, but went through training at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy and was assigned to Cody.  In 2012, he was honored with The Game and Fish Department’s Valor Award for rescuing an angler who has suffered hypothermia after he became stranded in the Powder River Canyon for three nights without food or shelter.
