The summer season is officially over in Yellowstone National Park with the closure of all but a few roads. Roads from the South, East, and West Entrances closed Monday morning with most of the interior roads being closed as well. Only the North and the Northeast entrances remain open through Mammoth Hot Springs and the Lamar Valley year around for wheeled vehicles. Now, preparations are under way for the upcoming winter season with the park being opened to guided snowmobile and snowcoach travel beginning December 15th. Meanwhile, the Teton Park Road and Moose Wilson Road have closed for the season for all but non-motorized travel.
