The Caribou-Targhee National Forest has announced that Christmas Tree tag sales are in full swing now for the holiday season.  Those tags are available at ranger district offices as well as a variety of vendor locations.  Those vendors include Bananas in Alpine, Huskeys in Irwin, Rainey Creek Country Store in Swan Valley, Peaked Sports and Yostmark in Driggs and Victor Emporium in Victor.  Permits for Christmas trees up to 12 feet tall cost $10.00 and are available through the vendors, but if you desire a tree from 13 feet up to 20 feet in total height your cost is $15.00. Only one tree is permitted per household.  Cutting guidelines and maps are available online or at the time the tag is purchased.
