The Town of Jackson/ Teton County Joint Lodging Tax Board found a warm welcome as they participated in a travel and tourism media event in Seattle, Washington last month along with representatives from a variety of Jackson Hole Attractions.  Lodging Tax Marketing Coordinator Kate Sollitt says 37 writers who represented such titles as Seattle Times, Seattle Magazine, Yahoo, Sunset Magazine, New York Times, and AAA Publications were on hand for the event.  The board also launched their “There’s More to Winter” campaign which features views of winter in the valley through the lenses of locals and visitors online.  Sollitt says the participants were particularly intrigued by the new direct flights from Seattle to Jackson that will be available this winter.

  • A lunar eclipse, and me without my camera - April 18, 2014
Monday night, or more accurately early Tuesday morning, there was a total lunar eclipse. And being the experienced nature photographer I am, you’d think I was ready with my camera. But you’d be wrong. The last total lunar eclipse visible in Wyoming was way back in 2009, if I’m not mistaken. So I’ve been looking […]
