Teton County appears to be in excellent fiscal shape.  A recent audit of Teton County’s fiscal activities has shown there has been strong fiscal management of county funds over the past year.  The Teton County Board of Commissioners, along with the County Clerk and the County Treasurer, received the Fiscal Year 2013 Audit Report from Jones Simkins LLP based in Logan, Utah.  Simkins’ partner Michael Kidman told the county representatives that this was the first year the auditors have not needed to make any accounting adjustment, indicating strong internal fiscal policy and management.  Additionally, with the significant amount of federal funds granted to the county, an OMB audit was also performed. This year the OMB audit found no irregularities, and showed an acceptable level of fiscal oversight and grants management.

The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. It’s the amount of daylight, and not the temperature, that causes wild animals to grow longer, thicker coats. If you’re a predator hunter or a trapper, that’s your cue. The pelts are coming into their prime right now, but that doesn’t mean they’re at […]
