Local Gymnasts Dominate Competition

Axis Gymnastics of Jackson participated in its first official meet this weekend, with the Level 3 gymnasts travelling to Evanston for a regional meet with five other teams from Wyoming and Idaho.  The competition yielded two firsts and a second and an overall second place for the organization’s Level 3 team.  Those winners included Jessica Johnson who took first in the nine year-old division, Hannah Hatten who took first in the seven & eight year-old division, Lucy Turner who took second in the seven & eight year-old division and McKaylee Harmon who took eighth in the seven & eight year-old division. The competitive season for Levels 4 through 7 will start in January at a national invitational in Salt Lake City.
