November unemployment statistics for Wyoming have been posted now and not surprisingly, Teton County posted the highest jobless rate for the state. According to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, 8.3% of the county’s workforce was idled during the month compared with 9.1% for the same month in 2012. The department points out that unemployment in Teton County rises during November each year as the summer tourist season has ended and ski season has not yet begun. Last year, employment rose again in December by almost two percent. Statewide, the unemployment rate fell by 2/10 of a percent to 4.4%. The best counties in which to find a job were Sublette and Converse counties which both posted 3.0% for the month.
