Lodging Tax Grant Applications Coming Due

Those seeking grants from the local lodging tax for activities next year have one more month to apply for the funding. Producers should submit the required information electronically in PDF format to the joint town and county travel and tourism board no later than 5:00 pm Friday, January 31st. Applications that are received after the deadline will not be considered. The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism board has also released new sponsorship guidelines for the next round of funding.  Now applicants are required to complete a one page executive summary online, the Conferences and Groups category has been eliminated and sponsorships are narrowed to three categories:  Community Character with sponsorships up to $5,000, Sports Event Programs (including Youth), with sponsorships up to $20,000 depending on number of attendees, and major events, festivals and coordinated events, with no maximum amount specified for sponsorships.  Funds will be awarded by April 21st.
