Teton County, Idaho Search and Rescue was called out shortly after 6:00 pm Sunday when two snowmobilers failed to return home when their snow machines became caught in a ravine. Paul Bruno of the search and rescue team says 12 members of the volunteer team responded to the top of Pine Creek Pass after the county was notified by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s office of the stranded snowmobilers. Upon their arrival at the top of the pass, Bruno says they found one of the men who had hiked out in a car keeping warm. From there, Bruno says the team was led to the area the second man was remaining with the machines on the back side of Garns Mountain. Altogether, he says it took about three hours to reach and extricate the second individual. Bruno says the names of the individuals were not immediately available, but they were from the Idaho Falls area.
